Unable to open "Uninstall a Program" through Control Panel
Hi there, I am unable to open "Uninstall a program" through Control Panel. Everytime when i try to open it, it gives me the following error message: "Windows cannot find '::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}....{7B81BE6A-CE2B-4676-A29E-EB907A5126C5}'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again' This does not happen when I open "Uninstall a program" in safe mode. Please advise what I need to do. Many thanks

A thorough scan with the anti-virus \ anti-malware software would be in order. Be sure that the definitions are updated. Click Start=>type cmd in the search box=>right-click the command prompt from the results in programs and select run as administrator. This is called an elevated command prompt. Now type sfc /scannow next to the cursor and tap enter (note the space before the slash) This will run the system file checker utility which checks and repairs system files. It takes a while, so be patient. When it's finished, restart the computer, log-in and test access to the Start=>Control Panel=>Uninstall a program. Consider what you have recently changed or installed to possibly cause this issue as something in normal mode is the cause.
